Be your own ID
reno is an app for Singapore HDB flat owners who are renovating. It does an ID's homework for you. From your floor plan you get your flat in 3D, a spec pack contractors can price, and their quotes compared line by line, with HDB's rules on the way.
Skip the ID's markup, or keep your ID honest.
reno is in private preview, by invitation. It's being tested with a small group of owners. If you were invited, open reno with the link you were sent.
What reno does
-
Your flat in 3D, from its floor plan
Upload a BTO brochure, HDB's PDF or a photo of the plan. reno reads it and builds your flat in 3D, furnished, for you to walk through. Try styles, floors, kitchens and wardrobes, and see what each change does to the cost against your budget.
-
HDB's rules on the way
Every wall shows whether it's structural, a partition, or one to check with HDB before hacking. The household shelter is marked. When HDB won't allow a change, reno says so and what you can do instead. For an older flat, it plans around HDB's upgrading programme (HIP) if it's coming to your block, and around EASE, HDB's fittings for seniors, if anyone at home is 65 or older.
-
A spec pack contractors can price
reno writes up your renovation the way contractors price it: numbered lines with quantities, a plan, an elevation and payment terms, as a PDF and an Excel sheet. Send the same pack to three firms and their prices line up.
-
Quotes compared line by line
Add a quotation as photos or a PDF. reno reads every line, matches it to your spec, and points out what's missing, short or priced well below other firms. It compares firms on the same finished flat. Holding an ID's quote already? reno checks every line of that too.
-
Ready to sign
Before you pay a deposit, reno checks that the firm is listed in HDB's Directory of Renovation Contractors. It helps you settle every open line and the payment terms, and drafts the one message the firm replies "Agreed" to.
-
The works, to the end of the warranty
After signing, reno keeps the record: the firm price from the sizes you measure together, each stage done and paid, changes agreed in writing, and the defect walk, with money held back until each defect is fixed. The record runs to a year after handover.
-
Your furniture, from Taobao and other shops
Paste a Taobao link or add screenshots of a listing. reno puts the piece in your flat at its real size and checks that it gets through the lift and the door. It writes your questions for the seller in Chinese, and tracks every order: the order number, the parcels, the forwarder's sea route, arrival and any claim.
-
Two phones, one record
Add your partner's phone, or your parent's. Both phones see and change the same record, and neither loses what the other logged. Sign in with Google if you like, and your flats open on every phone you sign in on.
-
Decide together
Send your family a look-and-vote link. They walk through your options in 3D and vote, with no account needed.
Your privacy
- reno doesn't sell your information, show ads or use trackers.
- Signing in with Google is optional. From it, reno keeps your name, your email address and an ID for the sign-in, only to sign you in and keep your flats on every phone you sign in on.
- A floor plan, quotation or screenshot you ask reno to read goes to Anthropic's Claude to be read.
- Your flats are kept on reno's server in Singapore, and on your phone.
The Privacy policy says exactly what reno keeps, who else handles it, and how to delete it.
Ask for an invitation
Email the address at the foot of this page. Say what flat you're renovating and how far along you are: choosing a flat, waiting for keys, or getting quotes. If there's room, you'll get your own link. It opens reno in your phone's browser, so there's nothing to install.
